PTU Overview
"PTU" stands for Pretreated Unit or Pretreated Used Cooking Oil, and refers to preprocessing refined or preprocessed products for using animal/vegetable fats and oils as raw materials for HVO (Hydro-treating), one of the types of SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
* SAF type: HVO (Hydro-treated Vegetable Oil) AtZ (Alcohol to Jet). E-Fuel and BtL (Biomass to Liquid)
PTU is a pretreatment production concept that removes the negative factors of hydrogenation during HVO production, such as Chlorides, Metals, Impurities, and Water, in ppm to trace.
